Anomaly Scan

An anomaly scan is a thorough ultrasound usually done around 20–24 weeks to check your
baby’s growth and development from head to toe. It carefully looks at the brain, face, spine,
heart, stomach, kidneys, limbs, and placenta, and measures baby’s size, fluid levels, and
blood flow. This is a screening scan to look for structural differences or possible problems,
so that if anything unexpected is seen, you can get timely advice, further tests if needed, and
a clear plan for the rest of your pregnancy.
